3rd Education Nation Conference: Education for the better future of Malaysia

3rd Education Nation Conference, asian world summit, global education magazine

Nelson Mandela once said that education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world. It is the fundamental building blocks of society, of its prosperity and sustainability. In Malaysia, Vision 2020 was initiated in February 1991 and the basic goal is to create a world-class developed nation by the year of 2020. Not surprisingly, education is the top priority for Malaysia’s achievements of developed nation status as laid out in Vision 2020.

In order to align our education system with Vision 2020, the Ministry of Education has been working to improve the system over the years, with its latest effort being the Malaysia Education Blueprint 2013-2025. The blueprint is the roadmap to transform Malaysian education and to ensure that the nation has one of the best systems of education in the world. Among the challenges faced are the gap and mismatch between graduate skills and market needs, limited English proficiency amongst the graduates and to create holistic students.

After two successful conferences, our 3rd Education Nation Conference aims to harness the power of education to create the better future of Malaysia.
